loop knife is our smallest loop knife and is designed for delicate and surgical work on the hoof. It will work well getting into tight spots in hoof wall separations, cracks and can be used to dig a small hole to drain a hoof abscess. Because loop knives are double-edged they can be used left or right handed and in either a pushing or pulling direction. Shanbro loop knives are available in different sizes and shapes. The larger sizes work well for sole and frog trimming, while the smaller sizes are specialty tools designed for delicate and surgical work. The unique handle design features a thumb cut out which provides more leverage during use. All Shanbro knives are sharpened prior to shipping and are sent in a protective tool case.
